ABOUT
Swanson Timber Company was founded by Alan Swanson in Cloverdale, CA in 1980. Alan sold mainly Redwood and Doug Fir lumber and timbers on the wholesale market. For a period of time during the 1980′s he also ran a stake mill where grape stakes were manufactured. In 1989 the business & family moved north to Willits, CA. It was there that Alan’s son, Chris, began working with him in 1998. In 2010 the business opened its current yard in Biggs, CA. Swanson Timber currently sells a variety of stakes, lumber, wood products to both the wholesale and retail markets and rents and sells ocean containers.

Chris
Chris does a little big of everything at STC from answering phones/emails/texts to billing, inbound & outbound shipments, forklift operations, even sweeping and upkeep of the yard/office/shop. His family is at the top of his list but he also enjoys hunting, hiking, backpacking, biking, woodworking, working on and riding most things with wheels, among other things.
The Girls
Chris' wife, Briana, is a driving force behind STC and is incredible with the four girls.
McKenna is the oldest, next is Amelia, then Ainsley, and last but not least, Delaney. Rowdy helps offset the heavy girl population at the Swanson house.
